Royal Cards
Once upon a time, a king in a certain kingdom was suffering from a mysterious illness.
His quadruplet princes did the best they could to care for him.
The king was moved by their kindness and made a deal with a witch. He would change everything he had into 4 treasures, and gave each of his sons a blessing on their birthday.
Power, love, happiness, and fortune. He believed that his kind sons would work together and rule over the kingdom in his place.
But as soon as the king parted from this world, the princes fought over the treasures.
In a blink of an eye, the kingdom was torn apart and its citizens suffered.
One day, the witch appeared and said, "You forgot something. If you truly want everything the king had, then you will be given his pain and suffering, as well."
The witch had given them a curse.
The princes who received this curse were plagued with misfortune and in the end, died from the same illness as their father.
And so, peace was restored to the land and everyone lived happily ever after.

♠︎You gain power, but lose love: Ring of Spades.
♥You gain love, but lose happiness: Necklace of Hearts.
♣︎You gain happiness, but lose fortune: Brooch of Clubs.
♦︎You gain fortune, but lose power: Earrings of Diamonds.
Those who don the Royal Cards are said to receive the king's blessings and curse.
If you wear only one, misfortune will eventually come.
To become whole, you must collect all four.
